Don't be intimidated to put together a last minute 4th of July party! All it takes is a little planning and a whole lot of fun! Here are our best last-minute tips on throwing a big Fourth of July Bash!

Get your grill ready. In the midst of purchasing those burgers and dogs, you can’t forget the grill that cooks them to perfection. Clean your grill grates beforehand. Stock up on pellets, charcoal or propane. Don’t forget woodchips or a Bourbon Infused Smoker BRICX for added flavor – all from Modern Gas. And, of course, if you don’t have a grill, we will be happy to help you select one!

Prep all the things. Save yourself some time and stress by prepping all of your food items the day before your celebration. Season the meat, chop the veggies, mix the dips – anything that can be made ahead and stored in the refrigerator. You’ll thank yourself later.

Chill out – your beverages, that is. The hot temps of July call for ice cold drinks on tap all day long. Make sure you have enough coolers to ice down drinks for everyone. Our favorite cooler is YETI because no other cooler on the market can keep drinks colder for longer. We believe you can never have too much YETI!

Create the playlist. This bash requires all songs American - and Spotify has you covered. We found their Fourth of July playlists and it gave us all the red, white and blue feels with songs like Born in the USA, Made in America, Spirit of America and more!

Go Americana with your sweets. Apple pie, strawberry short cake, blueberry crisp, strawberry ice cream – the list of possibilities is endless. Take advantage of summer fruits that just happen to be colors capturing the spirit of America.

Don’t forget the sparkle. String up some twinkling lights for when the sun goes down. Have a basket filled with sparklers and enjoy the last minutes of celebration! (Remember to keep a terra cotta pot filled with sand available to place the burned-out sparklers.)

Modern Gas wishes you a happy – and safe – July 4th!
