Always keep it clean.
No one wants the taste of yesterday’s fish on today’s chicken! It’s important to do a quick scrub down of grill grates after each grilling session. It’s best to do this immediately while the grill is still hot.
Be kind to your meat.
We know it’s tempting to keep flipping your burgers, chicken or steak – but this is not necessary and can be the difference between an average taste or awesome flavor. You only need to flip once. If your meat is sticking – you’ve flipped too soon.

Be the boss of the flame.
A good flame is a griller’s friend but you have to manage it. Flare up flames will result in an unpleasant char. Keep a spray bottle filled with water on hand to manage flare ups without affecting the heat.
Keep your eyes on the temp.
Experienced grillers just know in their gut when food is done – but they didn’t start off that way. If you are a new griller, keep a thermometer on hand and know at what temperature your food is safely done.
Do not disturb.
After your food has reached temperature, remove it from the grill and let it rest for five to ten minutes. This allows the juices to redistribute through the meat resulting in optimum flavor!
